Subacoustech

Subacoustech is a small high-tech company that, since being founded in 1992, has specialised in underwater acoustic consultancy and research. The company is a world leader in underwater acoustics, and has a track record of developing novel solutions to problems in its field, and providing contract research and consultancy to government and industry. It has received several DTI SMART awards, and from these has produced spin-off companies, one of which recently received the Queen's Award for Enterprise. It is located in picturesque offices in an ancient water mill in Bishops Waltham, Hampshire.

Our People

You will normally be educated to BSc, MSc or PhD level in an engineering or numerate discipline. Ideally with experience in acoustic and software engineering. You will thrive on solving challenging problems, and a proven problem solving ability will be seen as an advantage. You will be keen to work in a small company, and will not be afraid to take on projects outside your specialist field - a 'can-do' attitude is essential. The ability to work professionally under pressure is essential. An interest or experience in marine and environmental related activities would be seen as an advantage.
